Pretty by Her started in 2016 out of my love for creating. Over the years, PBH has gone through many evolutions to become the sassy, colourful brand you are visiting today. Most recently, myself, my daughter and my husband relocated to Camlachie Ontario, moving the business with us. I have made the decision to scale back the business for the foreseeable future in order to create a work life balance that leads to wellness for myself and my family. Some of my favourite things include thrifting, chasing sunsets, cats and eating potatoes!
I have always been a passionate woman who cares deeply about a lot of things and there are some specific values that guide and shape Pretty by Her.
AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS
Engaging with our customers in meaningful ways and forming genuine relationships is high on our priority list. I believe in fostering relationships through transparency, authenticity, kindness and humour. I show up as my authentic self (flaws and all) and invite others to do the same!

As a highly privileged individual, I recognize the ways in which myself and the business have benefitted from the systems of oppression that exist in society. I am committed to using my brand and social media platforms to amplify the voices of individuals and communities who have been marginalized and to fight for a world where all individuals are safe, respected and valued. PAYING LIVING WAGES
A living wage is the hourly wage a worker needs to earn to cover their basic expenses within their community. A living wage is not the same as a minimum wage which is the legislated minimum all employers must pay and is set by the provincial government.
As a business owner, I recognize the value that paying a living wage has on the mental, physical and economic wellbeing of my employees as well as the impact that paying a living wage has on the prosperity of the community and the economy. Pretty by Her is proudly certified as a Living Wage Employer through The Ontario Living Wage Network.
SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH
I care deeply about mental health and about supporting others to live happy and healthy lives. I dream of a day when everyone who needs mental health support can access it. A portion of every order is donated to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention programs and services in Canada.
